We are now 6 months into the Community Cafe venture and we are happy to report that we are thriving! This summer has been busier than ever - word is spreading!
Sasha has done an amazing job creating a wonderful menu. All of our staff and volunteers contribute so much to the cafe.
We hope and believe it is a friendly place to come with the bonus is that you can feel good about buying yourself a treat here as the food is sustainable and the cafe is not for profit. Proceeds from the cafe go back into the Arts Centre and have also provided free meals for some refugee families.
Meet up Tuesdays offer a place for people to get out and have a free coffee and cake and a chat with supportive friendly people.
M&S have provided us with their surplus food that we have transformed into sustainable specials.
A particular highlight of the summer was a wonderful Syrian pop up restaurant. This event was supported by Elmbridge Can and is something we would like to repeat.
